[1] Hunter Education Course
Who
Anyone born after January 1, 1972 who desires to purchase a Washington State hunting license for the first time. Any one is eligible but we recommend that children no younger than nine years old take the class. The curriculum is written at a 6th grade level (12 years old). Parents of children under 18 must attend the first night to sign authorization. There are a lot of adults who take the class as well and there is no age limit. All students will be required to take a written test at the end of the course as well as a field safety course.
When
There are two classes. Both are on Monday evenings.

Starting Monday, February 25th from 6-9 p.m. and ending March 24th (March 22nd is the field test and firing range day)

Starting Monday, April 21st from 6-9 p.m. and ending May 19th (May 10th is the field test and firing range day)
Students are allowed to miss one class except for the first and last classes!

The classes are held at Summit View Church in the Summit Room on the second floor. Click HERE [1] for a map and directions.
How to Register
There is a $20 deposit required to reserve a place in the course. Pre-registration is required. You must deposit the $20 at the Receptionist’s desk on the third floor. Your deposit must be received by Friday, April 18th for second session. This will guarantee a place in the class. No deposits will be accepted on the day of the class or at the class. You may also mail in a check made out to Summit View Church for the above amount to the church by April 18th. Mark the envelope attention to Hunter Education Course, and include the student's name and phone number with the check. ALL STUDENTS WILL BE COMPLETELY REFUNDED UPON COMPLETION OF THE CLASS. There is a limit of 40 students per course.
